Painting the bakery

Finally started painting the bakery a couple of weeks ago.
We had painted the carpark ourselves last year but I wasn't keen to go up scaffolding.
Young Ben has come to the rescue and did all the hard stuff. He had to do some repairs as well as the window was broken and there were some hardiplanks and trim strips missing or damaged.
I am really happy with the colour, such a rich bold gold and i love the bright red doors. Now that we have started we have to finish !
Reroofing has been shelved temporarily as the quote was 43,500. I expect we will do it in chunks doing the most urgent first.
We have done some preparation on the other side so it is almost ready to go.
We are off to Italy soon so i will get a break from tradesmen  underfoot. I have had a brickie and plumbers her lately as well.
Sometimes it is satifying just to tackle the little jobs. I have had the locks replaced and rekeyed.  Put garden taps everywhere. Decided to fit up the new basin even though we haven't painted the bathroom yet. I also had the brickie repair a wall and tidy up the edge with new cement.
I have a stack of garden maintenance to do when we get back as the robinias are starting to drop leaves and the mulberry and mop top need a good trim.
It is spring in Italy  :-)
