Doors going in !

My whole shop in a garden plan has really been challenged by the cooler weather. When it was hot it was great to throw up the roller door and pull back the rear sliding door and enjoy the sunshine fresh air and greenery.
Alas, when it is windy and cold it is a nightmare. Any heating goes straight out the doors and it is miserable and depressing. I am working on getting a little more environmental control !

Rod found a pair of 830 mm multi-pane solid timber doors with framing at hardware at Bid Jungle. The reserve was only 65.00 so he left a bid. We won the lot and they were perfect to fill the gaping hole when the roller shutter was up.
I have had Paul the builder here this week framing them up. He has set them in the middle with side lights to the top and sides to maximize light. We are going to use perspex as it is basically more of a windbreak than anything else, to glaze the panels, glass in the doors. We were a little worried that as they are set on the outside that the panels would get smashed.
The door jam is framed up and the sidelights all framed.
Occurred to me it might have been smart to paint the roller shutter before he started but didn't give it a thought until today.
I'll have to get busy on that painting
