Off to France

off to FRANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Well I did it !

I jumped on a flight to Paris to go and see my daughter Appley.

I landed in Paris then caught the TGV to Lyon, where she was waiting for me on the platform.

I had the best time. Apps had a big list of things to do in Lyon, and we did most of it.

A highlight was the flower and food markets along the riverbank near her apartment in old Lyon.

She lives in a fantastic area in the old section of the city. Her window in the the stairwell outside the door is etched with 1500 ad. It was a mad place up a winding spiral stone staircase to the fourth floor. She was at the top end of a lovely street filled with interesting old shops and restaurants ancient churches, a stones throw from the river.

We saw the Hotel de Ville, (town hall) the museum, went to the top of the hill to Fourvier, to the cathedrals, watched a parade%2
